Résumé. – Georges Dumézil avait reconnu dans le récit du règne de Tarquin le Superbe une série de trois fautes, orientées selon les trois fonctions de l’idéologie indo-européenne. Le schéma peut être élargi aux trois guerres où s’insèrent ces fautes, faisant du Superbe une contrepartie négative de Tarquin l’Ancien.
Abstract. – Georges Dumézil had recognized in the account of Tarquinus the Superb a series of three mistakes oriented in the light of the three functions of indo-european ideology. The pattern can encompass the three wars that include these mistakes, therefore making the Superb a negative counterpart of Tarquinus the Elder.
